Pricing Preferences Settings Explained

As you use the app in your store, the conversion of prices can be set to round off to your desired decimals. You can also remove the decimals and set the final price to a whole number if preferred. This guide explains how removing or rounding to decimals work in the Multi Currency Converter app.

How does rounding to decimal work?

If you choose to enable this setting, this would automatically set the converted price to be rounded off to the nearest decimals that you have set.

How does removing decimal work?

Choosing this option automatically removes the decimal on the converted price and sets it to the nearest whole number.

Check the example scenarios below.

Round to Decimal:

A pair of Gnarly shoes is originally priced at €120.00.
On the customer's end located in the US, its conversion amounts to $136.05.
You had set .99 as the Round decimal in the app.
As the app converts to USD, it rounded off the price to the nearest .99, displaying the final price as $135.99.

Remove Decimal:

A pair of Gnarly shoes is originally priced at €120.00.
On the customer's end located in the US, its conversion amounts to $136.05.
You had set to remove the decimals in the app.
As the app converts to USD, it rounded off the price to the nearest whole number, displaying the final price as $136.

Round to Decimal

To enable rounding to decimal, do the following:

1: Launch the app and go to the Dashboard.
2: Scroll down to Pricing Preferences section.
3: Check the box on Round Off Price by default.
4: Choose Round to Decimal for the Round Style.
5: Enter a value in decimals in the Round Dec field.
6: Click Save.

Note: Always remember that when using the Round to Decimal format in the app, the decimal point should not be preceded by a zero or any whole number and should be 2 decimal places as shown below:

2: Click Save.
